Proyecto Juan Diego has decided to take it to the next level by introducing a chip timing system, a medal, and a t-shirt. But we’re not alone. The Brownsville Fire Department has also joined us in this initiative!

Sisters on the Run started as “The Running Nun” by Daughter of Charity, Sister Liz Sjoberg, in 2018 when she signed up for the Chick-fil-A Half Marathon. Her goal was to raise funds and brand awareness for Proyecto Juan Diego. Her fundraiser generated quite a buzz among her friends and family throughout social media and at the race.
Just last year, the campaign gained so much popularity that over 100 local and virtual participants from different states took part in this annual campaign!

Proyecto Juan Diego ha decidido llevarlo al siguiente nivel introduciendo un sistema de cronometraje por chip, una medalla y una camiseta. Pero no estamos solos. ¡El Departamento de Bomberos de Brownsville también se ha unido a nosotros en esta iniciativa!

Sisters on the Run comenzó como "La monja corredora" por la Hija de la Caridad, la hermana Liz Sjoberg, en 2018 cuando se inscribió en la Media Maratón Chick-fil-A. Su objetivo era recaudar fondos y crear conciencia de marca para el Proyecto Juan Diego. Su recaudación de fondos generó un gran revuelo entre sus amigos y familiares a través de las redes sociales y en la carrera.
El año pasado, la campaña ganó tanta popularidad que más de 100 participantes locales y virtuales de diferentes estados tomaron parte en esta campaña anual.
